I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
